Well you would think that that’s an obvious thing to say wouldn’t you?

This day is so special, so meaningful and is the day when you say the most important words you’ll ever say to each other – so no pressure then – one chance to get it right!

As an experienced and very professional celebrant, it seems to me after many years of writing and conducting bespoke ceremonies, that venues are beginning to realise that they can offer extra flexibility and more choice when they include a celebrant in their show round talk, and their phone consultations.

One venue that has whole-heartedly embraced this approach to choice is the glorious Rookery Hall near Nantwich in Cheshire. Annie, Olivia and the wedding team will go more than just the extra mile to ensure that your day is perfectly tailored to be just what you want – rather than be told what you can or can’t have, they will find out from you both what’s in your head as you imagine your day, and then they will set out to make sure you have it.

This includes the all-important ceremony of course. The choice – (there’s that word again!) of having a beautiful bespoke ceremony is available to everyone, and as the reason that everyone is there is because it’s a wedding; to watch the ceremony, then it makes sense to choose carefully as to what type of ceremony you will have. Gone are the days when it was a straight choice between church or register office. Now you can have your ceremony outside if you want to, with symbolic elements such as a lovely hand-fasting or loving cup woven into your ceremony, at any time of day or evening and with any content you choose. And your guests will be talking about how personal and beautiful it was for a long time afterwards.

A brief appointment at the register office a couple of days before the big day will sort out the legal bit – but don’t worry about that part – you will be expertly guided through the process by your celebrant.
