Our hotel, with its stunning grounds is located in the heart of Buxton and is an exquisite venue for a day like no other. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies so you can hold your ceremony and reception here at the hotel.

The elegant Chatsworth and Cavendish Suites are stately rooms with ornate decor and views over the fantastic grounds. The High Peak suite is very unique in design with elaborate high ceilings and stained glass windows. We have 122 bedrooms as well as a health club with a swimming pool and beauty rooms offering a range of treatments for you and your guests to enjoy.

If you plan to hold your civil ceremony here, you will need to contact the Registrar directly to arrange your desired date. This can be arranged up to a year ahead. If you require the details of our local registry office, please contact the hotel directly.

Self Catering and Multi Cultural Weddings

Buxton Palace Hotel’s elegant banqueting suites are ideally suited for Asian and Multi Cultural Weddings or functions. Our largest room, the High Peak Suite can accommodate up to 300 guests for a sit down meal. In addition there are a number of smaller rooms that can be hired for any other ceremonies that may need to be conducted on the day - the choice is entirely yours. The Hotel has 5 acres of grounds allowing us to hire in a marquee for the event, at an additional cost to the Bride and Groom. If you wish to provide your own catering we are happy to give you use of a section of our kitchen, within the package we can include staffing, linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware. (Please note that additional charges apply if outside catering is used, please ask for full details). In addition to this there are 120 free car parking spaces on site and also room for coach parking.

Exclusive use

Our exclusive-use package gives you peace of mind that every aspect of your big day is catered for by experienced wedding professionals. You and your guests can make full, uninterrupted use of the Hotel. Prices are available on application, please note the Health Club is not included in the exclusive use package.

We had a great party in the evening and were joined by several other hotel guests, which was lovely.
