At Mercure Warwickshire Walton Hall Hotel and Spa there are three rooms available for weddings. The Moncreiffe is licensed for up to 120 people, with views over the front lawn, making it great for picture opportunities.

Steeped in history, Walton Hall’s original building can be dated back to the 1500s. With such a fascinating past, the quintessentially English stately home has been privy to a huge number of events and affairs over the years. Once the ancestral home of the Mordaunt family, the building is now a fantastic, versatile venue for grand occasions.
The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and there is even a chapel on site, enabling you to spend your whole day in one beautiful location.
The Moncreiffe and Mordaunt function rooms embrace the buildings rich history, boasting original grand fireplaces and exquisite chandeliers. The Moncrieffe can accommodate up to 120 guests. In addition, the wonderful Courtyard Suite, complete with its own private bar, can hold up to 170 day and 200 evening guests. All three rooms enjoy views overlooking the immaculately manicured gardens which provide a delightful backdrop for your day. For larger wedding parties, you also have the option for a marquee with outside caterers.
As well as the bedrooms in the Hall, the hotel can offer 160 modern bedrooms and junior suite apartments to accommodate your overnight guests.

Directions by Road
From the M40 (North), exit at junction 13. Turn left and then take the first right. Continue through Newbold Pacey, then turn left at the T-junction in Wellesbourne. Turn right after the Watermill and continue down the single lane for 1.5 miles.
From the M40 (South), exit at junction 15. Take the fourth exit onto the A429 to Cirencester.
Continue through Barford and turn left at the roundabout for Wellesbourne. Turn right after the Watermill and continue down the single lane for 1.5 miles.

Winter weddings from £4,500. Package based on 50 guests in the daytime and 80 in the evening. Additional day and evening
guests: £79 per person. Additional evening-only guests: £18.95 per person. £1,000 deposit required at time of booking
plus a signed booking contract, with 50% payment due 6 months prior and final payment due 4 weeks prior.
"First of all we had an absolutely fantastic day! It was everything we dreamed of and more and we just couldn't have had a more perfect day.
Elizabeth was just brilliant, from the moment we sat down with her we could tell she knew exactly what she was doing and we felt at ease, she took the time to go through absolutely every detail with us so she fully understood what was happening. She showed a genuine interest and enthusiasm for our day and this made us feel so much more relaxed the day before and on the day, knowing that Elizabeth and her team were fully in control and had a vested interest in its success. Elizabeth was even instrumental in the best mans speech! She really did go above and beyond for us, and we can't thank her enough for everything!
The operational team were also EXCELLENT, they were so attentive and helpful at every stage. Ruaridh arrived downstairs on the morning to find Elizabeth and a couple of her colleagues already setting up and we had no idea that Elizabeth and her team would help to set up our own tables for the sweets, guest book, hot chocolate etc. which was fantastic as it meant Ruaridh could get on with getting himself ready for the wedding itself and we had the most relaxed morning because of this!
Throughout the day the staff were just brilliant looking after the guests with quick and attentive service during the wedding breakfast, and even going above and beyond helping to move Ruaridh and his best mans luggage out of his room from the night before as they basically had to dump it on the floor and leave without checking out to get to the church on time!!
The food was also excellent and exactly as we had planned and we received great feedback about the quality, in particular that cheesecake with the sorbet!
We were extremely fortunate with the weather as well which just added to the day and meant photos could been taken outside in the stunning grounds, having just had the official ones back from the photographer they look amazing and have captured every aspect of the wedding including the set ups of the tables and the backdrop of the venue, which looks spectacular!
Danielle, thank you for everything you have helped us with over the last 18 months or so. You have been so helpful at every stage of the planning process and the flexibility you and your team have given us has been outstanding. You were always so interested and enthusiastic, despite probably organizing multiple weddings simultaneously, you made us feel like ours was the only one! No request or query was too much to ask of you (and all the Christmas decorations from Walton were lovely), which just made planning our wedding a joy and we're sure your inputs and assistance really helped make our day perfect!"
"We booked to have our wedding reception at Walton Hall in March this year and could not recommend it highly enough! The service was incredible from Danielle throughout, nothing was too much trouble, we could decorate the venue just as we wanted, change the menu, all sorts to create our perfect day! Our actual wedding day was 2nd March- the day the Beast from the East hit. The roads were shut around Walton, none of our evening guests could get there but Zolte and the team did the most incredible job and we still had the best day ever. The staff offered discounted rooms for those who were stuck, dug peoples cars out the snow, staff that were on their day off came in to cover staff that couldn't get in, I honestly can't believe how far the staff went to make sure our day was a success. All of our guests said how beautiful the venue was, a lot said that it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had and we have to agree with all of it! I was really surprised that more people hadn't heard of it, which was actually a real bonus for us! As for the hotel, that was also amazing! Everyone that was staying (including about 20 guests that had to book on the day as they were snowed in!)said how lovely their rooms were, not a single complaint. They offered reduced rates to those who were snowed in and hadnt planned on staying, we had a lovely buffet breakfast and the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were all so lovely, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back soon!"

"Hi Kirsty, I just wanted to thank you for all your help with arranging Emma and Steve’s wedding on Saturday. It was a very special day, which went very smoothly and many people commented that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. The setting was fantastic and the food was amazing; the weather was mostly kind to us, and even the torrential rain and thunderstorm during the fireworks didn’t spoil the evening! Emma and Steve’s dog Dobby delivering the rings during the ceremony was a surprise to everyone and a moment that most people will never forget!
