England’s finest venue for small, intimate weddings

Langley Priory is a listed manor house wedding venue with over 800 years of history that is privately-owned. This country estate wedding venue located in the East Midlands is the ideal venue for small, intimate civil ceremonies and partnerships. The beautiful house at the heart of the setting is a beautiful location for both your ceremony and wedding reception.

Few know of its existence, but once discovered its charm is never forgotten.

Centrally located on the Derbyshire/Leicestershire county border, and just 10 miles from Nottingham city centre, Langley Priory is available as a prestigious wedding venue offering couples the opportunity to be married in one of the most romantic and beautiful of English country houses.

The house sits amidst breath-taking grounds, featuring scented rose gardens, manicured lawns and magnificent specimen trees. Large serpentine lakes and tumbling cascades contend with the quintessential English pastoral scene of cattle grazing on the park.

Langley Priory is the ideal wedding venue for the discerning couple who value privacy, peerless surroundings and total exclusivity. Its timeless natural beauty makes it the first choice for couples looking for a unique and elegant wedding.

We are licensed for civil ceremonies in the elegant White Drawing Room, which enjoys glorious views over the lakes and parkland. The White Drawing Room is licensed for 40 guests.
Langley Priory is available on a strictly exclusive basis for civil ceremonies followed by champagne receptions and dinner parties for up to 40 guests.

The bride and her attendants have the use of one of our large en-suite rooms prior to the ceremony for dressing.

Civil Ceremony
Ceremonies take place in our beautiful, light-filled White Drawing Room which has large windows over-looking the lakes and park.

Champagne and canapés on the lawn or beside one of the log fires in the Oak Room, Drawing Room, Music Room, and Bar. Our grounds include three ornamental lakes, waterfalls and a croquet pitch beside the main lake. Wonderful photo opportunities.
