Overview
Holyrood Flowers are based on a four-acre smallholding in North Cheshire.
As a Floral Designer, I wanted something unusual for my clients and couldn’t find it, so, I decided to grow it!
I am inspired by nature and The Seasons and many of the flowers used in my designs are seasonal, home and British-grown (whenever possible) #grownnotflown
It is important that flowers smell like flowers should, so, herbs and old varieties of scented roses are used in many of my bridal bouquets and arrangements.
We are also environmentally-friendly at Holyrood and try to avoid using chemicals. This attracts a massive array of wildlife to our home, including barn and little owls, butterflies, bees and lots of rare species of birds.
Cottage garden flowers, herbs, English roses and dahlias are my particular favourites.
Wheat and feathers feature in some of my designs, as do natural and dried materials.
I was once asked if I do “normal flowers” !! I took it as a huge compliment because most couples come to me because they do want something different! I have never designed two weddings exactly the same and I never expect to!
As well as weddings, we supply flowers for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, weekly flower subscriptions and corporate displays.
