Wedding Tips
1) Don’t rush when hiring a wedding singer. This is so important and understandably there are lots to choose from. Like lots of artists great and small, Our voices are not for everyone, it’s important for customers to give the artist as much information as possible to we can distinguish the kind of singer and repertoire you are looking for!
2) Dont book because the act has a cool music video! With so many artists out there we all have to try to stand out. And promos and showreel are a great way for wedding singers to do this. However be weary of this as there is a lot of promo material out there that can make Mr Bean sound like Bryan Adams!! Make sure you don’t just choose an artist for their recorded videos as they may not sound like this in a live situation which can lead to disappointment on the big day. Ask where the act is playing and if you can come and see them live before you book, or if they have any live footage they can send you. This will give you a much better idea on what they sound like in a live situation and put your mind at ease!
3) Don’t be afraid of booking your singer too early. The earlier the better for us artists as our diaries can get pretty full over the space of a year. The more notice the better!
4) Be as descriptive as possible when looking for a singer. Trust me I’ve seen plenty of adverts of people advertising for a singer... and that’s it. Let us know what type of music you are looking for, any specific songs you have to have sang that mean everything to you. When and where can you see the singer fitting around your big day. The bigger picture we get the more accommodating we can be in providing you the best Tailored Package for your big day!
