Nestled in 204 acres of breath taking gardens and woodlands, our historic Neo – Jacobean building has a history dating back to 861AD. With sculptured ceilings, leaded light windows and doors, a magnificent, sweeping staircase with a historic stained glass window; large open fire places and a multi-million refurbishment, complementing the historical detailing with ‘quirky’ modern styling. De Vere Selsdon Estate is a ‘new’ venue, steeped in history.

Chose to hold your ceremony indoors in our recently refurbished Sanderson Suite or outside in our Secret Garden, both options are a breathtaking start to your life together.

Your wedding breakfast, held in the Terrace suite will ‘wow’ you and your guests, originally the lounge of the house, this suite has stunning views over our gardens with four double doors leading out on our Terrace, the top table sits stylishly against the original paneling and has recently been ‘brought back to life’, with the original wood being exposed. Your cake table will be framed beautifully against the backdrop of one of the original fireplaces and guests will sit under chandeliers and a wonderful sculptured ceiling.

Easily accessible by air, road and rail, De Vere Selsdon Estate is close to South and East Croydon Station and a short drive from both Gatwick and Heathrow International airports. East Croydon is a mere 3.7 miles down the road, while the bustle of central London is 13 miles away.

At Junction 6 on the M25, take the A22 exit to Godstone, Caterham, Westerham/A25
At Godstone Interchange, take the 1st exit onto Godstone Hill/A22 leading to London /Croydon/Caterham. Continue to follow A22
Continue along the Caterham bypass until you come to a large round about (Anne Summers) and take the 3rd exit and follow signs A22 towards Whyteleaf/Croydon
Continue to mini roundabout and take 3rd exit up the hill and under the bridge onto B270
Turn left onto the B264 towards Croydon onto Tithepit Shaw Lane
At the top of the road follow the right hand bend and continue to the end, turning left onto Limpsfield Road (B269)
Follow the road straight, going over mini roundabouts and passing Waitrose on your right until you come to a large round about
Take the 3rd Exit onto Addington Road (A2022)
De Vere Selsdon Estate is on the right opposite Upper Selsdon Road, Indicate right prior to the traffic lights
Parking at De Vere Selsdon Estate, South Croydon (Parking is extensive and free for guests of the hotel, conference venue and leisure club)

De Vere Selsdon Estate is easily reached from four mainline stations including East Croydon which is 3.7 miles away (and 12 minutes direct to Victoria). We will happily arrange a taxi to East Croydon station for you, on request at the time of booking.
