The Higher Trapp hotel is the perfect location for your wedding day. Whilst the hotel and facilities are exceptional, and can accommodate up to 220 wedding guests. The amazing private gardens, outdoor wedding gazebo and views from The Pendle Suite are quite breathtaking.

You have the added advantage of the great patio area where you can receive your welcome drink and canapés and take in the wonderful views of the Ribble Valley.

All your wedding guests receive a discount when booking bedrooms for the evening.

"The taster meals were amazing.... we had a beautiful wedding here at the Higher Trapp. The staff couldn't do enough for you. They all went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. They were so accommodating and friendly. The wedding breakfast and evening meal hog roast was delicious and we couldn't have asked for anything better. If you are thinking of having your wedding here do not hesitate because seriously you will be treated like royalty. Thank you to everyone for making my daughters day just simply perfect especially Jamie and Katie who looked after the arrangements. The staff went over and above the make our day so special and run smoothly ! The new bridal suite is gorgeous too!

From the very start of booking our wedding to the very end we have had an amazing experience! We have eaten in the fitzys bar which is lovely and the food is to a high standard and again very friendly staff. The breakfast the day after was also served in the fitzys bar and this again was faultless.

"Myself and the wife had our reception here on the 27th of February 2016.I can safely say that the day was one of the best of my life, we got married at church in Rawtenstall and made our way over to the higher trap. From start to finish the team at the higher trapp were everything you expect on your wedding day; polite, accommodating, hospitable, gracious and much, much more! The food was great the drink was great the whole occasion was sublime. The DJ that was suggested to us by the higher trapp was fantastic he listed to our do and do nots and created a playlist that captured our guests and our own tastes perfectly (Ryan Smith). Had a fantastic day/night, so happy that the higher trapp was our preferred choice when it came to venues. Thank you all soo very much!"

"We got married at the Higher Trapp on the 21st Jan 2016 and we really can't thank the staff enough. From the moment we booked it, right through to us checking out a couple of days after the wedding, we were thoroughly looked after. In preparation for the wedding when we spoke to Donna, she was always so helpful and informative and always kept us up-to-date with what she would be doing and what we needed to do. If we needed to know anything I felt that I could contact her and it was never too much trouble and we would always get a quick reply. The day before the big day, we met Katie who made us feel so welcome and relaxed and again nothing was too much trouble. Katie was back at the hotel the morning of the wedding and along with all the other staff, made our day run so much more smoothly than we could ever imagine. It's as though every member of staff were always one step ahead of us and they each knew what their role was throughout the day. Everybody was polite, helpful and so professional. The reception staff really were second to none and we honestly felt like we were part of the 'Higher Trapp Family'. All of our guests commented on the politeness, professionalism and how relaxed the staff made you feel and I am pretty certain you will be getting some returning guests from our wedding party as well as ourselves. Our day was relaxed, organised and absolutely perfect and none of that would of been possible without every single member of staff at the Higher Trapp Hotel from Donna and Katie to all the reception staff, the waitors, waitresses and bar staff on the day, the staff who served us all breakfast the morning after and the house keeping staff who returned a number of items to us that they found we had left in the rooms. So from the newly weds, thank-you so much for making every minute of our special day perfect!"
